Mr. Fryatt founded ECA SOLAR after serving a leading solar energy developer on the East Coast. Mr. Fryatt has institutional experience in all facets of developing and financing solar energy assets. Under the Massachusetts SREC I program, Mr. Fryatt enjoyed success in co-developing and financing a large portfolio of solar photovoltaic facilities. Prior to this Mr. Fryatt worked from Green Solar Finance, LLC in Greenwich Connecticut; where he focused on asset acquisitions and development for commercial and utility scale projects in the New England markets.
Mr. Fryatt recently helped launch a solar energy merchant bank in Greenwich Connecticut catering to the debt financing needs of the commercial solar energy market, including venture loan products designed for SRECs.
Before working in specialty finance, Mr. Fryatt practiced corporate law at Cohen & Gresser, LLP, where he worked on private equity/venture capital transactions, credit agreements and corporate governance matters. Mr. Fryatt is a cum laude graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and holds a B.A. from Middlebury College.
Claude ColpDirector of Engineering
Mr. Colp joins ECA SOLAR as our Director of Engineering with over 8 years experience working in renewable energy and a background in construction. He comes to us most recently from Solectria Renewables – A Yaskawa Company, where he was a senior applications engineer focused on best practice deployment of their inverter technologies across the US. Previously, Mr. Colp has lead engineering teams at two separate startups and has designed over 100MW of Renewable energy systems to date. He holds an engineering degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology and a MBA from Boston College. At ECA Solar his main responsibilities center around product selection, technical feasibility, and performance modeling.
Ben BarlowDirector of Finance
Ben Barlow joined ECA Solar after serving in leadership finance and operations positions in healthcare (athenahealth), financial services (Citigroup), and energy (William J. Clinton Foundation, Khanty Mansiysk Oil Corporation). Mr Barlow is a CFA charterholder and holds degrees from Columbia University (MBA/MIA) and Yale University (BA).
Vincent MoschellaDirector of Development
Mr. Moschella joins ECA SOLAR as our Vice President of Development with experience working in the renewable energy field starting in 2014, and an extensive background in construction. He came to us most recently from another MA-based developer, focused on site-acquisition, fundraising, procurement, and construction oversight. Prior to joining ECA in 2017, Mr. Moschella lead development that resulted in over 15 MW of Commercial/Industrial Renewable energy systems over a 2-year period. He holds a degree from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst and holds a Construction Supervisor License with the State of MA. At ECA his main responsibilities center around site acquisition, business development, construction management, and financial modeling.
Venu LollaVice President of Engineering
Venu Lolla joined as PV Design Engineer at ECA Solar after working as an Engineering Analyst for over 3 years. His main responsibilities here at ECA Solar include creating construction sets and as-builts of the rooftop/ ground mount/ carport projects. He also assists with carrying out sophisticated 3D system performance monitoring to ensure the continued financial performance of the renewable energy systems functionality over their useful life.
He holds a Masters degree in Energy Engineering (Solar) from University of Massachusetts, Lowell and also has a bachelors in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from India.
Colin WalkerProject Manager
Colin Walker joined ECA Solar as our Project Manager with over 3 years of experience working in the distributed generation field. Colin joined ECA Solar after spending more than two years with a local utility where he worked extensively on implementing and tracking state renewable energy incentive programs. Colin holds a science degree from Stonehill College and is currently working towards his Master of Business Administration at Bentley University. At ECA Solar, Colin’s main responsibilities include overseeing construction related activities, ensuring projects remain on schedule, and logistics.
Xiaoxia TangFinance Associate
Xiaoxia Tang joined ECA Solar as our Finance Manager after serving in another renewable energy company based in Massachusetts. Prior to that, Ms. Tang held different roles in corporate finance and investor relations. Earlier in her career, Ms. Tang worked in auditing at KPMG. Ms. Tang held a bachelor’s degree from South China Normal University and got her MBA from Boston University.
Martha DiezemannDevelopment Associate
Martha Diezemann is a recent graduate who supports the development team for ECA Solar with business development and site procurement. Prior to this, she assisted with permitting wind energy and managing water resources in Massachusetts. She holds BA’s in Environmental Studies and Economics from the University of Delaware where she also participated in competitive sailing.
Sivasakthiram RamasamyDesign Engineer
Siva joined ECA Solar as a PV Design Engineer after obtaining his M.S. in Energy Engineering at University of Massachusetts Lowell. He got the interest of making a career in solar while he was doing his B.E. in Electrical Engineering at Anna University back in India. Siva’s main responsibilities includes designing the layouts for PV systems, creating SLDs, creating permit sets, creating construction sets.
Nick BoydAssociate Design Engineer
Nick Boyd joined ECA Solar as a Design Engineer after obtaining his B.S. in electrical engineering at Northeastern University. He is excited to transition into a career in solar a year and a half of working in electronic device design and validation at Boston startups Starry and Formlabs. Nick brings his passion for renewable energy and attention to detail to his work of mechanical and electrical engineering design at ECA
Andrew BunnellIn-house Counsel
Mr. Bunnell comes to ECA Solar with a background in commercial and residential real estate law, land use, zoning, and economic development. His main focus with ECA is managing its leasing and real estate transactions, reviewing title, and coordinating with outside counsel. Mr. Bunnell has degrees from Northeastern University and New England Law, Boston.
