Project Overview

Completed in 2023

ECA Solar proudly transformed the EPA-designated Industri-Plex Superfund Site in Woburn, Massachusetts into a 4 MW ground-mounted solar array, completed in 2024. Once home to decades of industrial pollution, the remediated site now generates enough clean energy to power more than 800 homes annually.

This project stands as a powerful example of environmental revitalization—converting a once-contaminated landscape into a productive source of renewable energy. By working in close coordination with local and federal agencies, ECA Solar ensured that the project upheld rigorous environmental standards while contributing to regional decarbonization efforts.

The Industri-Plex Superfund Site Solar Project reflects ECA Solar’s ongoing commitment to reclaiming underutilized land for the public good and delivering sustainable energy solutions that benefit both communities and ecosystems.
