Project Overview
Completed in 2021
ECA Solar, in partnership with Standard Solar, proudly developed the Bethel Community Solar Project—completed in 2021 in the town of Bethel, Maine. Featuring 14,448 solar modules, the array generates enough clean electricity to power more than 450 homes annually while offsetting approximately 770 metric tons of carbon dioxide each year.
Built on a former gravel pit, this project exemplifies smart land reuse and reflects ECA Solar’s commitment to delivering sustainable energy solutions that benefit both the environment and local communities. The site contributes to Maine’s expanding clean energy portfolio and supports greater access to affordable, community-based solar power for area residents.
To commemorate the project’s completion, ECA Solar joined our partners at Standard Solar for a ribbon-cutting ceremony, celebrating a shared vision for a cleaner, more resilient energy future in Maine.
