Project Overview
Completed in 2026
ECA Solar has completed construction of a 3.01 MWDC community solar project in Hurlock, Maryland. The system, located on a 5.85-acre portion of an industrially zoned 73-acre parcel, will generate approximately 3.4 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity each year—enough to power hundreds of homes in the Delmarva Power service territory.
As part of the Maryland Community Solar Program, 40% of the energy is reserved for income-qualified residents, expanding access to affordable renewable energy. The site was selected for its minimal environmental impact, with no tree clearing or wetland disturbance required, and is naturally buffered from nearby properties. The project received unanimous approval from local boards and stands as a strong example of well-sited, community-focused solar development.
