Meet Tiffany Grace, Director of Operations
Based in the Greater Boston area , Tiffany Grace (Robicheau) is the Director of Development Operations at ECA Solar, where she oversees and coordinates operational strategy across the company’s development team. With a background spanning interconnection, development operations, and cross-functional project delivery across the renewable energy industry, Tiffany brings deep expertise in optimizing processes that help move community-scale solar projects from early planning through to construction and grid-ready status.
We sat down with Tiffany to discuss her work at ECA Solar, her perspective on scaling operations in a growing solar developer, and what motivates her both inside and outside of work.
Can you describe your role as Director of Development Operations and what development operations really means at ECA Solar?
As Director of Development Operations, I spend most of my time project managing and keeping the development pipeline moving forward. On a day-to-day basis, that includes maintaining and updating project schedules, coordinating and leading meetings with internal teams and external consultants, and managing company dashboards and milestone forecasts. I sit squarely in the middle of the development process, translating between teams to ensure priorities, timelines, and risks are aligned and clearly communicated.
In plain English, I think of my role at ECA Solar as the central nervous system of a project, touching every aspect of development, ensuring information flows to the right people at the right time, and helping projects move to close as efficiently as possible.
As ECA Solar continues to grow, how has your role evolved to support a larger and more complex development pipeline?
As ECA Solar has grown, my role has grown with it. Our growth has come with expanding into new markets but that doesn’t just mean more projects, it also means learning new processes and planning for market-specific nuances. While solar development generally follows the same overall path, each market has its own details that affect how projects move forward.
Over time, my focus has shifted toward anticipating those differences and making sure we have the right resources and processes in place to support them. We’ve also built more benchmarking into the development cycle, which has helped us better understand how long different stages typically take and improve the accuracy of our forecasted close dates.

When you’re not working, what helps you recharge or reset outside of the office?
Year-round, it’s important to me to make time each day for strength training or some kind of movement, whether that’s walking, yard work, or just getting outside. As a born-and-raised New Englander, how I recharge outside of work naturally changes with the seasons.
In the warmer months, simply being outdoors helps me reset, and I’m often drawn to both planned and spontaneous adventures—preferably somewhere near the water. When the weather turns colder, I tend to slow things down, staying in and cozying up with a good book or a video game.
What’s a personal value or habit you bring into your work that you think shapes how you lead or collaborate?
Because my role is so people-centered, empathy and emotional intelligence play a big part in how I work. I genuinely believe that people are the greatest asset in any business, and managing projects through the development cycle means really listening to our subject matter experts, not just to what they’re saying professionally, but to who they are as people.
I try to create space for open, honest input, adapt my approach based on how individuals work best, and make sure people feel trusted and supported in their expertise. That kind of environment leads to stronger collaboration and better outcomes.
What motivates you most about the work ECA Solar is doing, and why does being part of this company matter to you personally?
In the renewable energy industry, regardless of the sector, most organizations share a common mission around the adoption of clean energy. While contributing to more clean energy on the grid is a goal we’re all working toward, what truly motivates me day to day isn’t just the work itself, it’s the people and the energy at ECA Solar that make me excited to come in each day.

What I admire most about my colleagues is how they navigate a dynamic industry day by day. Their ability to quickly jump into action, adapt to change, and keep moving forward is something the ECA team does exceptionally well. As someone who values taking action, being surrounded by that level of adaptability and momentum is a big part of why this company matters to me.
